CATALYST STOREFRONT
SKETCHES / INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE / WIREFRAMES + USER FLOWS / VISUAL DESIGN
Our client Neustar Media was looking to build Catalyst, a storefront which displays movie titles and shows for users to purchase, rent, and save in UltraViolet, a cloud based digital library for movies and TV shows. I worked with Project Managers and developers to create a design for web, android, and iOS platforms. The goal of my role was to gather content data, determine hierarchies, and encourage users to subscribe to Ultraviolet and purchase/gift titles.
SKETCHES
Early sketches for creating an account, home page, browse movies, search, and linking Catalyst to Ultraviolet. Users are able to browse any movie titles or tv shows to watch, buy, rent, or gift. Once an account is created, users can create an Ultraviolet account to link to Catalyst. Users are also able to create their own personalized search categories and save them. The goal was to find a way to organize data and heavy content to create a simple way for users to navigate and view information.
WIREFRAMES / USER FLOWS
Throughout the wireframing process, I focused on the flow of case specific scenarios for purchasing and redeeming titles. The flow above depicts 6 scenarios which are: Purchasing UV when signed in from Catalyst, Purchasing UV when not signed in, Purchasing a non UV title when the user has not created an account, Purchasing a non UV title when signed in, Redeeming a UV gift without creating an account/signing in, and Redeeming a UV gift care while signed in.
VISUAL DESIGN
A sleek/dark look was designed to accentuate the keyart and imagery, as well as to create a cinematic experience. Violet was used for the highlighted states in conjunction with the Ultraviolet branding.
